            Laurie was born in the Euro-flavoured city of Montreal, Quebec, and has had a life long love for beauty.
"It must have been my first sight of sparkling, holiday lights on a snowy Christmas Eve when I was just 7 months old, that really captivated me & I’ve been crazy for beautiful ‘sparklies’ ever since.
          Early forays into fashion (okay…dress-up..) and later interests in architecture, film, literature, theatre and art history culminated in a college scholarship and a BFA degree.
        Laurie draws on her fine arts background and passion for adornment to inspire her colorful creations.
         While doing wardrobe on Broadway touring shows, she began to make jewellery. It was only when asked by the stars she worked with where they could buy her pieces, that a bijoux business was born.
       Using lustrous, fresh-water pearls, vintage ‘treasures’ components, crystals and semi-precious gemstones, her playfully named collections embrace many eras and eclectic styles.
