I grew up immersed in art. Our household was steeped in a love of art and I carried that love and fascination for art deeply imbedded within me and full of passion into my adult life. I approach painting from two mind sets.

In one practice, I am a realist painter who enjoys the careful observation and patience required to attain perfection or rather, verisimilitude.

In another approach, I appreciate the strength, freshness and emotionality that is generated from a gestural, or impressionistic painting.
