Wow - Louis just gave me the key neckace. Actually - I'll always think of it as a Key Chain. Anyhow - it is beautiful. To be honest - I imagined that the different coloured stones would be much more distinct and recognizable. It's funny how your imagination can distort things. I must say - though, this is actually MUCH BETTER than I'd imagined. I love the idea that it represents Pride - but that it is so subtle that someone else might not even realize that's what it is. Alas, some of the Pride jewellry, flags, banners, art, etc can be too "obvious" or "in your face" and it ends up looking a wee bit tacky - but this... this is brilliantly subtle. I like the fact that I know it represents pride but that it doesn't scream it out - it says it quietly, discretely and almost like it's just for me to know I'm wearing a pride necklace. I never had a great track record with talking to guys. I always turn red and get tongue tied when I try to talk to them. Wanted to let you know the piece got here today. I have to say that it is quite extraordinary. I was wondering in my mind just how the weight would differ from the male piece to the female in the comparison to size. I would have to say that I am very pleased to find that the female piece pendent is weighted, it seems, heavier then the male. For me this is great as it seems the male piece is a bit flashy when you think comparison of the pendent but the pendent has the weight giving it in my belief added value (its solid.)

When I wanted to find the perfect gift for my new wife, knew I wanted it to be original . We were leaving on our honeymoon on June 30th 2009, and I've always admired the necklace from the movie "The One." The only thing I could find after hours of searching was an interlocking pendant off Ebay. Feeling defeated, I purchased it, and a week later I received the necklace. As soon as it took it out the box I could tell that the silver was cheap. As I was showing my new mother-in law a piece fell off. I was upset, and knew that I had to find a necklace with better craftsmanship. I searched the web again, looking for "The One" necklace and came across a forum with a link to Designs By Benée.
After leaving an email, Benée Rubin got in contact with me and emailed me detailed pictures. The service was stellar, and she walked me through the whole process, explaining the minor details and ways I could customize the necklace to fit our needs. I was to be wed on June 20th, 2009, and leave for our honeymoon on June 30th, 2009. I thought this would be a problem since I was placing the order on 6/15/09. She assured me that I would have it before I left out of country. Sure enough I received it on the 25th.

The craftsmanship is absolutely beautiful! I wanted to give it to my wife right away, but I already planned to give it to her on the first sunset of our honeymoon. I managed to hide it from her the whole trip, and on the first sunset, on a pier next to the ocean gave it to her. SHE LOVED IT!

We must have been asked 100 times by other tourists about our necklace. The most common statements were, "I have never seen anything like that." and "It's so beautiful. Where did you buy that?"

So, thank you Designs By Benée. You made our wedding gift one that we will cherish forever.
