A romantic at heart, I have been incredibly fortunate and humbled to learn of some amazing stories of how people have come to be together. People sharing stories about the people they love and why they do... or how they met... or how they've stayed together all these years... or why they are still in love.
I've created "Let Your Story Shine" as a way for all to share their stories. It's a way for others to be inspired, as I am, to thoroughly enjoy and genuinely appreciate every single moment that we're lucky enough to share with someone, be it a lover, a friend, a daughter, a sibling...
I'd be honored to post your story for others to share and draw strength from.

My hubby spoils me rotten...
My hubby spoils me rotten, and I always ask for things. Well half the time I never remember what I ask for especially if it is years later. We bought the movie The One featuring Jet Li when it came out. My husband loves movies like that. As we were watching it I noticed the necklace his wife was wearing and how pretty it was.Rita Sheean
In 1996 I decided to go to Australia to get over a bad relationship, which was doomed from the start and had ended as badly as could be expected. Why Australia? It was as far away as I could get and I had fond memories of that country from my last journey. I quit my job, the plan was to travel around Australia for a year or so.
I arrived in Australia and stayed with a friend in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, while organizing everything for my trip. However, the day, before I was going to start my trip, I walked into the local pub. I went to the bar to order, but before I could say anything, I was greeted by some guy with the words: "Hello Berlin!"

Our relationship started the most unconventional way. He lived in Las Vegas, I lived in Wisconsin and we met when we were 14 years old in an AOL chat room. An instant connection that was felt through miles and miles apart, even without being together in person.
Benee's former elementary school teacher
I was teaching grades 7 & 8 in an affluent neighbourhood in a mid sized Canadian city. It was a good life. I really enjoyed my job and my students but something was missing. I had a girlfriend, but she wasn't the one, but her best friend was...

By 2004 I was well on my way to becoming a woman with far too many cats and not enough slinky dating shoes. I had reached a point in my life where I had become certain that I was never going to be married and happy. I had never met anybody who really got me and understood me AND was also attracted to me. In January of that year I got a terrible kidney infection and my activities were limited to lying down and sitting up at the computer.

So here is a little info about my story. I almost lost my wife last year. She had a brain malformation which was blocking the flow of the spinal fluid to her body. It was 50/50 chance of survival without surgery and 50/50 chance of survival with the surgery. I was at a crossroads with dealing with the fact that there was a real possibility that I was going to be a single dad.Gabriel
My name is Gabriel. I go by Gabe. Sort of like the character for the movie, The One, where your necklace originates from, although I'm from more of a Hispanic descent, not an Asian background. I'm not a big, die-hard action fan, but I do own that movie from a short trip to China I went on, and I've always liked the necklace.Jennifer & Dave
Hi there Benée and staff,Hope you are all having a great day! Just wanted to thank you for making my engagement ring for Dave. You did an amazing job and the piece was more than I ever hoped for. You truly are an artist. Dave mentioned that you wanted the story of how he proposed, so here it goes...
Lenny
My name is Lenny. Growing up, I was not a teen/adult who was interested in using girls — one night stands, my sister's friends, etc. A matter of fact is that I met only a few girls (3 or 4) that I would even consider dating or having a relationship with. I wanted to make sure that when I got married, it was for better or worse, a done deal.So we go back to high school, Spanish Class to be specific. That's where I first met Annette.
