Less than a month away, Valentines Day is the only day set aside to celebrate love for love's sake! Since we are in the love business, we have made a few things that just may capture your heart...like she did! Our interlocking heart of hearts set can be worn 4 ways...together or each separately, or a silk cord or silver chain. You have a choice of red, blue, white or black silk cords. We can craft these in blackened or white silver, any carat of gold, or your heirloom metal. Which do you think she will like best?
EAST VAN CROSS JEWELLERY - Launch Party for our locally made collection Nov.17 at Mark Brand's Catalog Gallery
In 2001, with the help of my friend Chris Klamer, we started making the Oneness Mandala Necklace: one necklace that divides in half, so that it can be shared. We sold our first one to an American soldier serving in Afghanistan. Right up until today, we ship these and our other shareable sets to soldiers on bases internationally, and to their families back home. They each wear half a necklace as a reminder that they are "one", and only temporarily apart." I thank each and every one of you for your dedication to making the world a better and safer place , and for inspiring me to create a collection of shareable necklaces, with the stories of just what my jewellery means to you both ." A pair of our custom designed platinum silver cufflinks, set with rare Chihuly glass were worn by Producer Martin Katz on the Red Carpet at the New York Film Festival screening of Maps to the Stars! Right to left: That's producer Martin Katz,
Our "Love is Love" cufflinks celebrate the equality all people are entitled to. We hand made matching lapel pins in sterling silver, especially for the museum's gift store. I am honored beyond words.
It's been a 7 year project in the making, and it is finally underway. I have been documenting the incredible urban art in the alleys, under bridges, garage doors and building walls of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, and the East Village. The talent , as you will see is remarkable! As soon as the artist creates them, the city has them painted over. Most of the images I have collected exist only in my database now.I will have these available for sale in a variety of mediums, depending on the image, by request. Some look better on paper, some on aluminum and others on canvas. The first 30 images are on www.benee.com. Contact me for specific sizes and prices at firstname.lastname@example.org.

My friend Rae (an App designer whose app is called "Simply Declare Travel App") is like so many other people, with a handful of old jewellery in her drawer which she hasn't worn in 30 years! She asked me to redesign them into a set of five stacking rings she could mix and match, and wear with her other rings. This is what I came up with....
Rae also wanted an every day wedding band too. She wanted it chunky to handle every day abuse, and heavy, so she would know it would be indestructible (Is that too many rings she asked?" Of course, I said "No.) Here is what I made for her....
So, I ask you this....What's in your drawer? What could I make your old jewellery into that you would love?????
