About The Designer
Her inspired works have been showcased in many North American magazines, including JCK's Trendz and Facets, and Vancouver Fashion Magazine. Her “Eternal Amulets Collection” was sold exclusively through Holt Renfrew across Canada, and she has designed jewelry for Vancouver’s Montecristo Jewellers. Benée has private clients around the world, commissioning and wearing her one-of-a-kind, custom-designed pieces of jewelry.
Benée’s jewelry — created in sterling silver, 18-karat gold, platinum, and precious stones — are unique pieces that reflect her love of gorgeous detail and precise craftsmanship.
In keeping with Benée’s goal of inventing new concepts in wearable art — one necklace that divides into two necklaces — her latest jewelry collections include an inspired line of interlocking symbol necklace sets in sterling silver (separating yin & yang, Chinese characters, crosses, Jewish stars, and dog tags), a two-necklace set of Mandalas for couples, and the "Oneness" Mandala Necklace set, like the necklaces worn by Jet Li and Carla Gugino in the movie, The One.
Benée wants all her clients to have an opportunity to let the world know what inspires them, and what makes life meaningful and connected for them. Everyone’s story is worth knowing and showing on her website. The fact that Benée is creating these collections to include gays and lesbians is no accident. Having gay activist Robin Tyler as her aunt, and her wife Dianne Olsen, has inspired Benée to want to be part of a future with equal rights for all. Benée Rubin is one of the very few designers making focused jewelry, tailored to both the straight and the gay & lesbian communities, respecting the uniqueness of all their relationships. Everyone deserves a voice; everyone counts. In this world today, being together, supporting each other, and respecting our differences is our only hope for the future.
Because of her and her company's commitment to charity and giving back to the community, partial proceeds from all sales go to support these international and North American charities.
